Each engagement is managed by Avenir Teams from the moment legal work is first identified until completion.

When to engage counsel

Teams determines when to engage counsel based on the work required and who is best positioned to perform it.

What needs to be done and when

Teams defines, with counsel, what needs to be done. This includes identifying workstreams, sequencing tasks, and establishing assumptions. This definition is revisited as the engagement progresses.

Selection of counsel

Teams selects counsel based on expertise, seniority, availability, and proposed staffing. This includes working with existing counsel and, where appropriate, identifying additional or alternative providers

Because Teams operates independently of any law firm or ALSP, it can help structure a team drawn from different firms or other professionals when the matter calls for it.

Fees

Teams structures the fee arrangement, monitors adherence, and addresses changes as the work evolves.

Coordination

Teams coordinates all participants within the engagement. This includes managing timing, maintaining alignment across workstreams, and facilitating communication among client and counsel.
