My Story

Jonathan Baum

Founder

For more than forty years Jonathan Baum has advised on complex transactional, financial, and regulatory matters.

​​

Having served as outside counsel, in senior in-house roles, and as an investment banker relying on outside legal teams, he has seen critical legal engagements from multiple vantage points. Over time he saw how often client dissatisfaction stemmed not from the quality of the legal work but from how engagements were structured and managed: poor staffing decisions, misaligned fee arrangements, and the gradual drift of the work from the client’s objectives.

He created Teams to introduce independent management to legal engagements.

He lives in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. Outside his professional work he enjoys swimming, cycling, music, and teaching adaptive skiing.
